A 25-year-old man identified as Seth Thomas Martin has been arrested following a deadly domestic incident in Waterford Township on Friday afternoon. Authorities say Martin called 911 himself to report that he had stabbed his fiancée Mallory Myers at a home on Hackett Street.
Seth Thomas Martin also known as Seth Myers (Juno) is a resident of Davisburg, Michigan, and originally from Milford. He attended Holly High School and currently works as a crewman at Little Caesars. He also serves in the U.S. Army.
According to the Waterford Police Department, officers responded to the scene at approximately 3:40 p.m. and encountered Martin exiting the residence. He was immediately taken into custody without incident.
Upon entering the home, officers found 33-year-old woman Mallory Myers with critical stab wounds. Despite lifesaving efforts by first responders and Waterford Regional Fire personnel, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives obtained a search warrant to process the residence, and the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation. Police remained on the scene for several hours Friday evening, collecting evidence and documenting the crime scene.
Seth Martin was transported to Waterford Police Headquarters where he was booked and later lodged at the Oakland County Jail. Officials confirmed that he will remain in custody pending formal charges.
“This is a tragic and senseless loss of life,” a spokesperson for the Waterford Police Department said. “Our detectives are working diligently to gather all the facts and present the case to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office.”
The motive behind the fatal stabbing has not been publicly disclosed, and authorities say the investigation remains ongoing.
